DixieMix jazz band, led by the youthful (and remarkably handsome) cornetist Simon Nelson has rapidly established itself as one of East Anglia's most entertaining and hard working jazz ensembles.
With the emphasis always on first class music mixed with great humour DixieMix never fails to provide a top quality performance.
DixieMix pulls together many of the top jazz musicians in the East. Their talent, knowledge and enthusiasm for traditional jazz combines with ease to provide some of the classiest entertainment for all occasions. We aim to please all of our audience, not just the aficionados among you
Not only are the members of DixieMix fine musicians but many members of the band are known to jump at the chance to show off their vocal talents, with four accomplished vocalists (and the odd hanger on!) DixieMix fans always enjoy a song or three, even harmonies have been heard, providing a twist to some classic traditional songs.
